Description

  • Sourced from the sediment that runs off a  live glacier, it is dried and processed into tiny particles that penetrate deep into pores and draw impurities out of skin.

  • It helps removing oils and toxins from the skin. When the clay is wet it swells in size and as it dries on skin, it tightens and exfoliates.

  • With more than 40 minerals, micronutrients and trace minerals this glacial clay is composed of particles as fine as mist.

  • Glacial Marine Clay is an excellent therapeutic and cosmetic clay and is frequently used in facial and body masks, poultices and salves.

  • Ideal for soap, shampoo, hair masks, facial products, body wraps and other cosmetic applications.

Found in a remote inlet of northwestern Canada, surrounded by the Pacific Ocean in this uninhabited wilderness, it is from this naturally guarded area that the treasured green/grey glacial marine clay is found in rare deposits. With more than 40 minerals, micronutrients and trace minerals this glacial clay is composed of particles as fine as mist. The particle size of the clay is less than 0.15 of a micron, meaning that it is absorbed into the skin to deliver its nutrients directly into the dermis. Glacial marine clay has a pH factor of 6.5 to 7.3, close to neutral, which is desirable for skin and hair applications. Glacial Marine Clay is an excellent therapeutic and cosmetic clay and is frequently used in facial and body masks, poultices and salves.

Caution: Patch test is recommended while using Clays to see if it suits your skin. Some Clays are rich in iron oxide and may be absorbed by the pores and result in staining of the skin. Use coconut oil massage to remove the stain. It may stain cloth/fabric as well.

How to Use:
Take 1 or 2 tablespoon clay with 1-2 teaspoon ( or more ) Water. You may need more liquid to form a smooth spreadable paste-like consistency. Allow the mixture to thicken for one minute. Add more liquid if its' too thick or more clay, mud or oatmeal if it's too thin. Apply with a brush or with your fingers, massage onto the face, throat and decollete with an upward and outward circular motion, avoiding the delicate eye area.

Allow clay, mud or oatmeal to dry completely for 20 to 30 minutes, preferably while you are lying down. Don’t scrub away at your face to remove the mask, instead use a wet cloth to remove the cleanser. Wash off with a wash cloth that you have soaked in warm water, place over your face and allow the mask to absorb the water.  Rinse well with warm water, while scrubbing gently with a wash cloth, then spray your favourite hydrosol or toner over cleansed area, and as a final skin treat - massage your face, throat, decollete or body with a good oil (jojoba, argan, marula) and then apply your favorite moisturizer.
